M.C. Cerny's The Naughty List ⋞Review⋟

Title: The Naughty List
Author: M.C. CERNY
Genre :Romantic Comedy

Because everyone wants to be naughty, at least once…

Carla Monroe, matchmaking momma and regular busy body is about to play cupid once again. This time she’s about to tackle her wild daughter with an unlikely match… The competition.

Priscilla Monroe is brash and impulsive… A freaking pain in the ass, if you ask her brother. She hasn’t found a man yet who can keep pace with her and has designed an impossible set of requirements for Mr. Right….

Rand Knights is pure alpha, with confidence and pheromones so strong, you might want to bottle that shit up for a lonely night. He thought Pris would be the perfect one night stand and dig at his competition until he got wrapped up in her killer legs. Now he’s more interested in getting to know the feisty, head strong and foul mouthed woman who makes his life impossibly perfect.

Priscilla: daughter of renowned matchmaker, unknowingly goes home with competition, wild child

Rand: self proclaimed selfish jerk, has an agenda.. at first,

I enjoyed The Naughty List, it had me smiling most of the time. Rand and Priscilla were so much fun to read about. This is the second book in the series and can be read as a stand alone. If you read the first you will know the match making Momma and her Shaman is on the move again, those who hadn't will see it in the first chapter. If she was real she would make a bundle because she is so good. Rand has set out to destroy his competition and when he sees a beautiful woman at their mixer he moves in only to find it is Pris. She didn't recognize him so he changed plans and decided to use her, until it all became about lust and feelings.
When Pris finds out who he is- because he basically told her- she goes nuts. Rand doesn't give up that easily, even when her brother finds out,
Rand is so jaded and self centered, I love his sarcasm, he needed Priscilla to pull him back to the real world.
The book was fantastic until the end where it ended abruptly and unexpectedly. Though everything was just settled for Pris and Rand and we are assured of their Happily Ever After it seemed like too many details were missing. It was a bit confusing. On the bright side we do know who will be in the next book and I can not be more excited. I absolutely loved her in this book. This slight confusion on my part wont stop me from reading the next one. This has been a great series.

M.C. Cerny first fell in love with books after experiencing her first real ugly cry reading, Where The Red Fern Grows. Her debut romantic suspense novel, Flashpoint was written in a series of post-it-note ramblings that would likely make her idol Tom Clancy blush. She is a post graduate of NYU, working fulltime, and calls rural NJ home with her menagerie of human and feline fur-babies. When M.C. is not writing, you’ll find her lurking in Starbucks, running marathons, singing Disney show tunes, and searching out the perfect shade of pink nail polish.
