Chasing The Dragon is the first installment of a two part series of deception and betrayal where nothing is as it seems. ***Note - Chasing The Dragon is the first book in a two-book duet and is a spin-off of T.K. Leigh's USA Today Best Selling Beautiful Mess series. It is not necessary to have read that series in order to read this duet, but it will contain a mild spoiler from the third book in the Beautiful Mess
series, Gorgeous Chaos.***
Chasing The Dragon was nothing like I was expecting. It was full of twists and turns, action, fiery hot steam and heart pounding anticipation. It ends in one hell of a cliffhanger, and honestly I'm torn between wanting to rip my hair out over it and thanking T.K. Leigh for giving me a short reprieve to come to terms with what has happened and what I need.. WANT.. to happen next! Ms Leigh is a genius in riveting her readers, and I was no exception. She built the anticipation to heights I never dreamed were possible and when they fell BOOM. It was either a hard fall, a huge crushing blow or the most amazing thing in the world to read and experience through her words.
Each character was so well developed I felt like I had known them and they could cause me to hurt right with them. Mackenzie's reactions were my own and this is the true testament to descriptive writing and character building on Ms Leigh's part! Tyler is someone she never expected but he is also someone she desperately needs. His struggles with trying to stay impartial while trying to stay undercover are deeply felt as well.
T.K. Leigh has amazing descriptive abilities. She captures the mood and the action in her writing that when I closed my eyes I could picture it with ease. The book came alive for me. This is one series I am near breathless with anticipation to get the next book. I very highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a heart pounding read that will leave you breathless.

It wasn't until recently that she decided to try her hand at creative writing and is now addicted to creating different characters and new and unique story lines in the Contemporary Romantic Suspense genre. When she's not planted in front of her computer, writing away, she can be found running and training for her next marathon (of which she has run over fifteen fulls and far too many halfs to recall). Unlike Olivia, the main character in her Beautiful Mess series, she has yet to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
